HELLO TINY CHILDREN, BOOSHIES, LUXURY BEANS AND ALL-OUT NOEL FANS!

A lot of us have already seen the ridiculous amount of hate our favorite Madcap Shambleton has been getting via Twitter, and I can’t be the only one who’s sick of it. He doesn’t deserve it. Naturally, I wanted to do something to cheer him up.

The consensus was to have everyone who wants to, send Noel a postcard to his fan address. This coming week, February 12th - February 18th, will be dedicated to informing as MANY of his fans as possible about this idea to send postcards.

There won’t be a set thing to write on these postcards, but it would be wonderful if they could all have the same general tone: Ignore the hate. We love you. Keep doing what you do. Etc. MAKE HIM SMILE, BECAUSE HE DESERVES IT AND HAS SUCH A WONDERFUL SMILE.

Make these postcards as unique as you want. Because each of us is an individual, and even though each postcard will be different, we’re all here for the same reason: we love Noel and know he deserves so much credit for all he’s done for his fans.

Starting on Monday February 20th, 2012, people should start sending out their postcards. But for this week, let’s make sure we spread the word of OPERATION : FIELDING FANACTION.

The official fanaction will be postcards, but seriously feel free to send other things to him separate from the postcards. He loves his fans, and I’m sure he’ll appreciate anything he receives. Also, tweeting him kind words will definitely make him want to use Twitter more often- maybe we can all get a specific tag about him trending. That would be genius. (I’ll edit this post if one is decided on)

I totally encourage people to do other things, but the official fanaction could be the postcards. If everyone seems to like that idea, I’ll do any official post for people to reblog and get the idea out there.

I have a few ideas, simple ones. After seeing that bullshit on Twitter with the blatant rudeness of people, I’m heartbroken to see him get that angry, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s upset with it.

I think we need to have a fan revolution, bring all the Tiny Children, Booshies, Luxury Beans, and every other fan he has from shows, movies and his art together and do something nice.

I would suggest a video, but CLEARLY the “Good Luck With Luxury Comedy” video I put together with people got a ton of hate, so I don’t want something that will cause people to start a war with the haters.

The main source of hate for him is Twitter. Me and TheMightyBoots were thinking of trying to get a positive tag trending on Twitter for him. Maybe something like #weloveNoelFielding or maybe #NoelFieldingPersonOfTheCentury or just something nice.

OR perhaps we could do a postcard/letter/card revolution similar to the one the Martin Freeman fans did. Send Noel mail to his fan address just saying something nice about him. We could plan to send all mail on the same week, so he’d get it all at once. I’m sure it would make him smile.

I can’t be the only one worried that he’s going to snap…he’s only human, and can only deal with so much hate before it really, really starts affecting him. He’s such a kind-hearted person and he doesn’t deserve the terrible things being said about him. Not just from the charity’s Twitter, but from people hating him for his art, Luxury Comedy etc.

Let’s band together and do something nice.

Ok, so I (cockney-bitch) have seen a ton of interest about doing a compilation video for Noel Fielding, just to say how excited we are for the show and basically say how much we love him. SO I’m taking it upon myself to receive the videos and put everything together.

What I’m asking of the Noel fans:

• Make a video, 20 seconds or less. NO MORE THAN 25 SECONDS.
• Say some kind words to Noel, but DO NOT MENTION that website that’s been hating on him. We want to make him smile before Luxury Comedy premieres.
• E-MAIL THE VIDEO (AS AN ATTACHMENT) TO ME AT: NikkiDubz@gmail.com
• All videos must be received NO LATER THAN: Friday January 20th, 5 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Absolute twonk. The comedy forum at chilledcream.org gives a damn good reason why he’s annoying - “Circa 1999, some people said ‘Don’t knock the Mighty Boosh - they’re just harmless comedians performing in a room above a pub. Why not attack the real targets, like Jim Davidson?’. Fast-forward to 2007 and the Boosh are one rung below mainstream, and comedians like Josie Long cite them as influences. The Boosh are even considered godfather figures to some kind of ‘new alternative’. How did that happen? Perhaps it was because too many people said ‘If you don’t like them, just ignore them’. There are so many reasons why we need an exciting alternative comedy scene. An alternative to the careerist, self-publicising, little-old-me, salesmanship-celebrating, neo-Tory, neo-racist, neo-homophobic stuff that clogs up the mainstream. But what do the Book Club crew see themselves as an alternative to? Um…Tim Vine, as far as I can tell.” Hear hear.”

I can honestly say that I’m disgusted with this. I don’t know who wrote it, and I don’t care. Yes, it’s true that we all love Noel here…but honestly, the people on this website are looking to get a rise out of us. Going on there and telling them to “fuck off” etc. isn’t making our fandom look good. It’s making us look like a bunch of foul-mouthed harpies. The best we can do to defend Noel is to love him unconditionally like we already do. There’s no need to go out of our way to go on a website to say how amazing he is, because the people who dislike him are just going to continue hating him and continue harassing people who post that they love him on there. Let’s band together as a community and continue loving him here and on twitter like he always have. Forget about this pitiful website, it’s obviously run by people who either haven’t met Noel, or just don’t understand him. It’s harassment toward him, and it’s awful, but by going on there and ripping at them isn’t going to make it go away, if anything, it’ll get worse. The best we can do is ignore it.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF BOOSH DO NOT TWEET THIS WEBSITE TO NOEL. He’s so critical of himself already…I would hate to see him get depressed over something that stupid internet bullies are saying.

Sorry if this sounds bitchy, I just really think we need to stick together and love him instead of throwing back the bullying at his haters. Because they’ll exist no matter what.

I love this fandom, and I know we can continue on adoring him together.
